She scored 13 goals during the season and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year. Crystal was the first player since Mia Hamm in 1993 to win the ACC Player of the Year 3 times and was also named to the All-ACC First Team for the 4th year in a row. After a successful collegiate career, on January 17th, 2014, Crystal was selected 1st overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2014 NWSL Draft.

PRO CAREER

Crystal not only helped lead the team to the championship, but she also played as a defender the entire tournament instead of her usual offensive position.

In 2015, Crystal played the best season of her professional career and finished the NWSL regular season with a league-leading 15 goals, giving her the 2015 NWSL Golden Boot and the league Most Valuable Player award. At age 23, She became the youngest player to win both awards and broke the league record with her 0.77 goals-per-game average. Crystal spent the first half of 2017 playing overseas with Chelsea Ladies FC to hone her skills.
